Engineer Product II - Product Verification & Validation

Pay Range: 30-40 per hour depending on benefits and skills

What You’ll Do
  • Travel extensively (up to 90%) to agricultural test sites in Riverdale and Irvine, CA, working directly in field-based environments.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with partner farms to coordinate all GNSS test activities and build strong relationships with farm management teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to align test operations and support validation efforts at multiple sites.
  • Train and support farm staff on Precision Agriculture technologies, ensuring successful adoption and operation.
  • Oversee maintenance, readiness, and repairs of agricultural equipment; manage on-site storage and upkeep of test vehicles and tools.
  • Execute software verification and validation for GNSS receivers, including equipment setup, data logging, export, and analysis.
  • Operate and test agricultural machinery in experimental field environments, applying your knowledge of GPS fundamentals through hands-on assignments.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to validate receiver performance and troubleshoot hardware-related issues.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience operating precision agriculture equipment and working directly with farm machinery.
  • Familiarity with system validation, verification testing, and regression testing.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment setup and infrastructure installation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of Precision Agriculture systems.
  • Experience testing GNSS receivers and working with CAN bus communication protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and field equipment.
