- This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to create and manage project timelines while driving improvement in all areas with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery with little guidance from Management
- You will be a major contributor in defining manufacturing planning templates, own process definition, quality standards, and cost reduction initiatives
- You will also be responsible for creating lean part flow through production resources and implementing these resources in a new facility
- Initiate and lead the development and optimization of Engineering projects such as cost savings, new processes, etc.
- With a high degree of independence, define and implement general assembly inline or end-of-line vehicle process requirements in collaboration with vehicle design, software, and integration teams in preparation for new product launches
- With a high degree of independence, identify, plan, and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet production demand
- Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications
- Develop and maintain manufacture and test planning for processes, products, and integration
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing)
- Three (3) to five (5) years in a similar role
- Good understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies
- Demonstrated results with lean principles, VSM, 5S, etc.
- Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
Schedule:
This position is onsite in Torrance, CA. It is a salaried role, but the general schedule is 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
