Senior Tax Manager

Duties Review and approve complex tax returns and handle tax audits.

Act as an expert in tax law and industry knowledge.

Manage large tax returns and supervise tax preparers as necessary.

Take responsibility for client service and interaction.

Oversee tax examinations and represent clients to taxing authorities.

Train and develop staff, assist with recruitment, and provide professional development.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns.

Handle billing and collections efficiently.

Prepare ad hoc reports and projects as needed.

Evaluate tax software and provide recommendations.

Contribute to firm development through networking and community involvement.

Requirements Detailed understanding of current tax regulations.

Proficiency in tax software and research tools.

Ability to work overtime, especially during tax season.

Seven to ten years of public accounting experience.

Experience representing clients to taxing authorities.

Prior supervisory experience in tax preparation.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, master’s in taxation preferred.

Annual continuing education of 40 hours.

Certified Public Accountant license.

AICPA membership in good standing.
