DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Social Worker 1 conducts admission assessments, offers direct support to patients, and acts as a liaison for community providers, county representatives, and family members, prioritizing the welfare of the patients. Furthermore, the social worker delivers social work consultations to various professional disciplines and collaborates with the treatment team to enhance patient care. This role is essential in ensuring effective communication and coordination in the patient's treatment, thereby fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in social work or social welfare.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
