The Compensation and HRIS Analyst role is a specialized dual‑function position responsible for designing competitive pay structures and managing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy and system optimization. This position acts as a bridge between Human Resources, Finance, and IT.
Position Responsibilities- Compensation Management:
- Collaborate with management to develop job classification and produce job descriptions.
- Evaluate job descriptions to determine appropriate classification, FLSA status, and salary levels.
- Develop and establish compensation structure.
- Conduct market benchmarking and internal equity analyses to establish competitive salary ranges and pay grades.
- Administer annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, bonuses, and promotion adjustments.
- HRIS Administration:
- Maintain and optimize HRIS (Paycom) platforms to support HR operations.
- Configure system workflows, security permissions, and business processes to improve efficiency.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Paycom users and resolve data discrepancies.
- Manage Paycom upgrades, testing, and implementation of new modules or features.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and complex reports for metrics like headcount, turnover, and pay equity.
- Develop HR KPI’s.
- Use statistical analysis to provide actionable insights for strategic workforce planning.
- Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure integrity and compliance with labor laws (e.g., CCPA, FLSA).
- Produce monthly/quarterly reports.
- Conduct and participate in HR audits.
- Human Resources.
- Support other HR projects such as training and development, benefits, compensation, workers’ comp and leave management.
- Provide training in HRIS (Paycom).
- A bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Hands‑on experience with major HRIS platforms like Paycom.
- Knowledge of SQL or data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is often preferred.
- Strong quantitative skills to interpret large datasets and identify trends.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations, including FLSA, pay transparency, and date privacy laws.
- Excellent leadership, communication, sales, and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy and good organizational skills.
- Strong creative thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
