Position Summary
The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in bridging technical expertise with customer engagement. This individual partners with the sales team to position, demonstrate, and design healthcare technology solutions that meet the operational, clinical, and compliance needs of hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with strong communication and consultative selling skills.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with account executives to identify customer requirements, develop tailored solution proposals, and support the sales cycle from discovery through close.
- Conduct technical demonstrations, product presentations, and proof‑of‑concept engagements for healthcare IT, interoperability, or workflow automation solutions.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into business value aligned with healthcare customers’ goals (e.g., patient care quality, operational efficiency, compliance, ROI).
- Serve as a subject matter expert on integration standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM, HIPAA compliance, HITRUST, data security).
- Create and deliver compelling RFP/RFI responses, solution architectures, and ROI analyses.
- Provide post‑sale transition support to ensure smooth handoff to implementation and customer success teams.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of healthcare regulations, digital health trends, and competitor offerings.
- Experience with IDP and Fax Automation in Healthcare.
- 3–7 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Technical Pre‑Sales role, preferably within healthcare IT, SaaS, or medical technology.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, etc.), and integration technologies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes for clinical and administrative audiences.
- Experience with one or more of the following
-Vyne, Hyland IDP, Upland IDP, Weave, Concord, Solarity or other IDP solutions. - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2.
- Technical certifications (e.g., AWS, HL7, FHIR, or Salesforce).
- Consultative mindset with a passion for solving complex customer challenges.
- Self‑motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working with cross‑functional teams.
- Detail‑oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
