Location: Torrance, CA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Overview

We are seeking a Business & Systems Analyst / Technical Project Manager to join our team in a hybrid role. This position blends the analytical expertise of a business systems analyst with the leadership and organizational strengths of a project manager.

The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing requirements, planning initiatives, and leading technology projects from start to finish

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Partner with stakeholders to collect and validate business and system requirements, document processes, and assess feasibility.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements for development teams.

Process & Systems Review

• Analyze current processes to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct feasibility studies and recommend new systems, structures, or enhancements.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives.

Project Planning & Delivery

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Create and manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs, proactively driving issue resolution.
• Lead small to medium-sized projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation to post-deployment support.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate with subject-matter experts, compliance, engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment.
• Act as liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure clarity and execution of requirements.
• Facilitate training sessions and support adoption of new systems or processes.

Reporting & Documentation

• Develop project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, designs, and user guides for future reference and compliance.
• Leverage data and feedback to refine processes, improve efficiency, and enhance project outcomes.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis and project management.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 10–15 years of combined experience as a business systems analyst and project manager in a technology-driven environment. Startup or internal tool development experience highly valued.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with software engineering principles, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), APIs, and internal tools.
  • Skilled in business process flow documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Git Hub Projects, or similar project/bug tracking tools.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in forecasting and data analysis.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, CBAP, Scrum Master) are a plus.
