Associate Attorney - California Office
The Gori Law Firm is expanding its Torrance, California office and seeks an Associate Attorney to join our national team of asbestos litigation leaders. The role focuses on representing clients who have suffered mesothelioma or lung cancer due to asbestos exposure.
Base Pay Range$80,000.00/hr - $/hr
Position DescriptionThe associate attorney will represent injured clients, advance asbestos disease cases, conduct depositions, and interview clients and witnesses.
Responsibilities- Assist the Supervising Attorney with case work-up and motions
- Conduct client and witness interviews to obtain and evaluate information
- Depose witnesses and clients
- Draft and review discovery, motions, memoranda, and trial pleadings
- Occasional travel is required.
- Appear in court as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self‑motivated and well‑organized
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Outlook
- Compassion for helping terminally sick clients
- Licensed to practice law in the State of California
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment background check
