  • Work Schedule: Hybrid – Torrance, CA (9/80 work schedule, hybrid 3 days/week in office)

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is a global leader in designing primary and secondary flight control actuation systems (FCAS) for military aircraft. Responsibilities
  • Purchase goods or services in line with compliance parameters such as price analysis and single‑source justification documentation; manage a compliance purchase order folder; research Moog‑approved and evaluated suppliers, market trends, best pricing, quality, and negotiated pricing.
  • Timely and effective management of purchase requisition requirements to prevent aging buys that affect manufacturing build and deliveries to customers.
  • Understand the part planning parameters for best‑practice purchasing and inventory management in materials plan input.
  • Maintain compliant government and commercial procurement processes with exposure to internal and external audits for CPSM.
  • Liaise with Supplier Lead(s) in region related to delivery commitments and collaborate.
  • Support accurate and consistent system data inputs related to, for example, supplier lead time (LT) and minimum order quantity (MOQ).
  • Coordinate organized feedback for supplier negotiations, transitions, and/or challenges to support site operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to ensure contractual terms and conditions are operationalized into the integrated planning and placement processes; identify and resolve deviations to contractual terms and conditions.
  • Support communications for non‑conforming parts on purchase orders with suppliers and/or Supplier Quality to seek effective responses and resolutions. This includes timely data input in the quality system for managing priority and aging queue that may require regional Supply Chain and Quality teams support for resolution.
  • Communicate and update internal site functions such as Receiving Inspection (RI), Return to Vendor (RTV), supplier portal, and other Supply Chain requirements to ensure parts are delivered to point of use as required.
  • Manage several activities simultaneously for effective time management and multitasking.
  • Compile, prepare, and present information and/or data to effectively communicate as needed or required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in supply chain, accounting, business, or engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain collaborating with manufacturing and/or engineering (preferably aerospace).
  • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities to support team procurement requirements data; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel a plus.
  • Negotiation skills, combined with knowledge of procurement processes.
  • General understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Collaborator working with cross‑functional teams located in varied time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in purchasing, supply chain, program management, additional education, and a master’s degree in business.
  • General understanding of manufacturing and engineering is preferable.
  • Understanding of organized project management experience that can support procurement activities and communications.
  • Experience using MRP/ERP.
