** What You'll Be Doing
*** Assist with the preparation and detonation of explosives.
* Work from a man basket at heights of 25' up to 50' performing hand scaling, markup and face loading activities.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools.
* Handle and transport explosives safely.
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections of blasting equipment.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
* Support the blasting team with various tasks as needed.
** What Are We Looking For

* Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Physical capability to handle the demands of the job.
* Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule.
* Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
* Physical capability to handle the demands of the job including standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 75 pounds as when as other physical demands.
** Conditions of Employment
*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
* Ability to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms background check
* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
** Work Environment
*** Role operates primarily in an underground mine where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise level.
