Summary
The Machinist position requires the ability to safely utilize various types of machining equipment (lathe, mill, etc) to produce precision parts for sets and staging equipment for the entertainment industry. This is a non‑exempt hourly position that includes eligibility for PTO, health insurance, and 401k program after probationary period.

Location: Torrance, California

Department: Fabrication - Machine Shop

Pay Range: $25 - $30 / hour

• Operate within standard operating and safety procedures
• Liaise and communicate well with other departments in finishing projects in a timely manner and quality fashion
• Achieve the creation of high‑quality Versa gear that represents the company well in the global staging market
• Utilize Technical Design documents in the construction of staging and equipment
• Complete all assigned crew training modules
• Operate machining equipment to produce precision parts
• Produce small and large batches of parts while maintaining consistency in tolerances

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Clean and neat appearance
• Ability to work weekends and overtime
• Familiarity with requirements of touring equipment and terminology a plus
• English speaking preferred, bilingual a plus
• Machinist experience: 2‑4 years
• Proficient in Machine Shop tools and safety equipment
• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Conventional Machining (Knee mill, lathe) experience highly desirable
• CNC machining/operating experience a plus – training will be provided

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Visual abilities include close vision and the ability to focus
• Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work with small hand and power tools
• Must be able to follow direction
• A positive attitude and punctuality are a must
