About the Role

At Singer Vehicle Design, we believe everything is important. We’re looking for a Director of US Production to bring their passion, leadership, and expertise to our team in Torrance, CA.

What You’ll Do

• Drive accelerated business growth and output by effectively hiring, onboarding, and building high‑performing teams of automotive and production professionals.

• Manage current and future expansion of production capacity, facility consolidation, and in‑sourcing of operations to support bill‑of‑materials and labor costs per budget.

• Lead the Production Operations organization to achieve production milestones per the operating plan and scalability objectives, and participate as a senior leader in the creation and execution of Singer’s strategy and business operations.

• Achieve production labor cost rates at or below operating plan, deploy lean manufacturing principles, and create a safe working environment with best‑practice safety protocols.

• Work cross‑functionally to achieve company‑wide goals, uphold Singer’s Operating Values, and drive rigorous process adherence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Singer vehicles are manufactured and delivered at the required production volumes within manufacturing, delivery, quality, and cost requirements.

• Oversee all aspects of the Singer US production operations for Sub Assembly, Electronics, Interiors, and Final Assembly.

• Lead the team that builds products in a manner that reflects Singer’s “Everything is Important” philosophy.

Who We’re Looking For

• A hands‑on, roll‑up‑the‑sleeves leader who reflects the values of Singer.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (master’s degree a bonus).

• 10+ years of leadership experience in a lean manufacturing environment.

• Bonus points for luxury automotive industry or similar high‑growth experience.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, team‑orientation, strong multitasking ability, and capability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

• Excellent data analytics, presentation, and reporting experience, with the ability to generate and present information to the organization, including accurate metrics and narratives describing operating results, root‑cause analysis, and opportunities for improvement.

Location & Schedule

This is a fully onsite role in Torrance, CA. The team you will be leading works Monday – Friday 5am‑1:30pm with some overtime.

Compensation

The starting salary range for this position is between $167,037 – $222,387 plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
