SummaryThe Production Machine Trainee performs basic set‑ups and operates production machines to meet company targets and standards. Trainees must be able to run at least three production machines such as Broach, Fillet Roll, Shave A, Traub, and Groove, maintaining competency levels through skill assessments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs basic setup and operates up to three automatic machines to produce parts according to blueprints, router packages, specifications, and/or special instructions.
- Recognizes and detects machine out‑of‑tolerance and adjusts controls or control media as required.
- Performs basic trial runs to check accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Checks parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, SPC, and shop floor system.
- Recognizes and remedies minor machine malfunctioning and in‑process inspections; major discrepancies are reported to lead or supervisor.
- Determines and performs proper feed and speed combinations.
- Provides necessary information to the Manufacturing team, Engineering team, or others to document procedures and drawings.
- Performs work operations under supervision.
- Checks tooling and reworks as needed to keep the machine running.
- Lays out parts for successive and continuous machining operations.
- Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards, following blueprints or work instructions.
- Participates and maintains LEAP and APU/GAP standards.
- Participates and engages in the PSM1 meetings, reporting ongoing and long‑term problems.
- Sustains actions regarding projects and workshops.
- Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows all safety regulations.
- Complies with rules and regulations set forth by federal, local, and state government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE procedures.
- Attends all required training and adheres to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans.
- Brings any known or suspected non‑conformance to management蜻 attention immediately.
- Seeks opportunities to improve HSE performance by establishing objectives, measuring progress, and reporting results.
- Works under recommended waste elimination initiatives, such as recycling opportunities to reduce or eliminate production waste.
- Performs a variety of other related duties as assigned.

- Working experience of 1‑3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace fastener manufacturing or an industrial shop.
