RN Nurse Manager – Operating Room

Job description :
Nurse America is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager – Operating Room to join a high‑performing medical center in Torrance, CA. The OR Nurse Manager oversees both the administrative and clinical management of the Operating Room, ensuring a safe, evidence‑based, high‑quality nursing care environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24‑hour operational and clinical leadership for the Operating Room
- Ensure safe evidence‑based high‑quality nursing care
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, workflow and resource allocation for surgical services
- Coach, mentor and support OR nursing staff and leadership (Charge RNs, ANMs, etc.)
- Monitor performance improvement, patient outcomes and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, peri‑operative teams and hospital leadership
- Manage departmental budgets, equipment needs, productivity and performance metrics
- Support staff development through education, onboarding and ongoing competency training
- Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, accountability and patient‑centered care
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active CA RN License
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 5 years of acute care RN experience
- Minimum 5 years of hospital Operating Room RN experience
- Minimum 3 years of nurse leadership experience (Charge RN, Supervisor, ANM or Manager)
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
