Description:
The role is focused on a skilled nursing facility specializing in rehabilitation and sub-acute care. The facility covers a range of diagnoses and adheres to specific admission criteria. No custodial or long-term care is provided. The average nurse-to-patient ratio is 8:1. The unit is dedicated to rehabilitation and has a capacity of 87 beds. Patients served include adults and geriatrics. The daily census typically ranges from 45 to 50 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Nurses will be responsible for oxygen administration and peripheral line care. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment are part of the standard practice. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The expectation is to commit to working three of five major holidays. RTO must be included during the submission process. Travelers may need to float to meet facility needs.
Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment. References covering the last year of employment in nursing are required. Compliance documentation must be submitted before starting.
