Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in acute medical care management or utilization review in a hospital setting. License:
Must possess a valid California RN license.

Certifications:

Required certifications related to utilization review and nursing practice. Must-Have:

- Previous charge experience.

- Experience with Acute Client settings.

- Familiarity with interqual criteria and Medicare regulations.

- Proficiency with Epic charting system within the last 6-12 months.

Description:

This position involves remote utilization management in a healthcare setting. Nurses will be responsible for patient care coordination, concurrent review, and ensuring medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of CPT coding, insurance authorization processes, and CMS regulations. Experience with a variety of adult and pediatric acute and chronic diagnoses is essential. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekend rotations every other week.

Compliance with labor laws regarding breaks and lunches is mandatory. Adherence to strict no overtime policies is required. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities during the assignment. References are needed to verify experience within the last three years.
