Description
ACCESS South Bay is seeking a full-time MRI technician to join our team. At ACCESS South Bay, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to their owners. Our hospital is equipped with cutting‑edge technology and staffed by a team of skilled professionals who are committed to advancing veterinary medicine.
Our ideal candidate is ambitious, experienced, and outgoing. The candidate must be certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists. Experience with GE 1.5 Tesla preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities- Perform the imaging portion (not anesthetic portion) of all MRI procedures ordered by veterinarians in ACCESS hospitals.
- Arrange for appropriate distribution of images throughout required modalities as requested by doctors or clients.
- Maintain the health of the MRI machine, control unit, and all related software as necessary.
- During any downtime from MRI scanning, assist and receive basic training within the rest of the hospital to be able to assist technical/facility staff as needed.
- Oversee additional tasks assigned by your leadership team.
- Certified by ARMRIT.
- Minimum 2 years direct experience.
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to multi‑task and critical‑think under pressure.
- Must be able to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods of time.
- Possess sufficient ambulatory skills to perform duties while in the hospital, including manipulating (lifting, carrying, moving) 50 lbs or more; walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching intermittently, and standing for long periods.
Compensation
: $30‑$40 hr, dependent upon experience.
