Part-Time Store Cashier​/Stocker

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you’ll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, keep stores looking their best, and serve customers. The job offers something new each day.

Hours:

Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $20.50;
Year 3 – $21.00;
Year 4 – $21.60;
Year 5 – $22.10

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leaders
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within the area of responsibility
• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
• Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
• Participate in store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitor inventory for accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses

• Stock shelves and rotate product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for customers
• Follow merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays
• Organize new inventory, remove and break down empty boxes
• Operate machinery and follow all safety procedures

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store
• Stockers:
  Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of the company's products and services
• Cashiers:
  Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
• Cashiers:
  Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
• Stockers:
  Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
• Stockers:
  Must have morning availability to accommodate store operational responsibilities and be able to work morning shifts with start times as early as 5:00 a.m.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
