Join our Smart & Final store operations team as a Part‑time Retail Associate in Torrance, CA. The store is located at 2775 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, 90505 United States.

Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour.

As a Retail Associate, you will perform management‑assigned duties such as stocking and maintaining a store section, carry‑out services, and store cleaning. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment)
• Ensure proper pricing, validate product dates, and manage shelf rotations
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed
• Set up advertising and promotional displays
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers, providing current store and product information
• When requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools

• Read and write English; interact with general public and co‑workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds
