We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Embedded Software Engineer to be a key contributor in firmware development and implementation on our Pro AV products.

This is a hands-on position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.

• Work with a team of hands-on engineers and participate in embedded firmware development, design, review, and testing for new video system design (hardware, software, firmware), development, troubleshooting, verification, and documentation.
• Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features.
• Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments and create end user documentation.
• Contribute to the design of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for video, control, and power systems.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Execute design verification and validation testing, including board bring-up, stress testing, and environmental qualification.
• Collaborate with Production, Marketing, and Sales for product requirements, releases, supports, and testing.
• Assist and participate in firmware development, design and review for new products and prototypes.
• Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features.
• Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments, and create end user documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Over 5 years of hand-on experience with embedded system design as well as firmware and software development.

• Experience with developing firmware for Arm Cortex M/ STM
  32 Micro-controllers.
• Experience with peripheral communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PWM).
• Applied scripting techniques (shell scripting, Perl, Python) to improve efficiency.
• Knowledge of hardware schematic.
• Experience with FPGA, Verilog is preferable.
