We are seeking a Technical Lead / Application Architect for Web Development to join a full-time position in Torrance, California for 12 months. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise web applications. The role balances approximately 75% hands-on development with 25% application architecture and technical leadership responsibilities, with primary focus on Angular, Type Script, and Node.js.
Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise web applications using Angular, Type Script, JavaScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS with modern responsive web development practices.
- Build backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, middleware, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture.
- Contribute to application architecture and lead technical design, implementation, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Design scalable frontend architectures using reusable components, modular design, UI frameworks, responsive design, accessibility, and internationalization.
- Apply strong web security and authentication practices, including SAML, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, session/cookie management, CORS, and OWASP best practices.
- Integrate web applications with enterprise APIs, microservices, cloud services, and backend platforms.
- Leverage AWS cloud services such as S3, Cloud Front, API Gateway, Lambda, and Cloud Watch.
- Implement CI/CD, automated testing, Docker/Kubernetes, observability, and modern Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture and design reviews, code reviews, technical decision-making, troubleshooting, and mentoring of developers.
- Drive engineering best practices around code quality, security, performance, scalability, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve engineering productivity, testing, and code quality.
- Collaborate with product, UX/UI, architecture, backend, Dev Sec Ops , security, and business teams across complex Agile programs.
- Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
- 7-10 years of enterprise web application development experience
- 3+ years in a Technical Lead or similar hands-on technical leadership role
- Strong expertise in Angular, Type Script, JavaScript, and RxJS
- Strong experience with Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture
- Demonstrated expertise in web application architecture, security, and enterprise integration
- Hands-on technical leadership and solution design capabilities
- Experience with CI/CD, testing, Dev Ops, and cloud-native development
- Preferred
- Experience with React and other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with Kotlin and/or Java
- Familiarity with AI/LLM integration, including RAG, agentic workflows, and platforms such as AWS Bedrock or equivalent
- Experience with micro-frontends, Next.js, PWA, or similar modern web architectures
- Relevant web or AI certifications
