Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance, is seeking a full‑time Front Desk Coordinator to join our Torrington Care Center. We are the largest gastroenterology practice in Connecticut with 31 Care Centers and are still growing. - Provide a remarkable patient experience: schedule office visits, confirm appointments, update patient insurance and demographic information, answer incoming calls, and document using Epic EMR.
- Compose, process, and follow up on electronic voice mail messages and alerts accurately.
- Answer quick questions that are appropriate for administrative staff using the EMR.
- Process insurance authorizations when required.
- Monitor provider schedules, note and correct errors as appropriate.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills – 3+ years of professional experience.
- Prior front‑desk experience in a medical setting.
- Experience with an EMR system is ideal;
Epic experience is a plus.
Job Type: Full‑time
Salary: From $18.00 per hour, depending on experience

- High school diploma or GED – required
- Microsoft Office: 3 years – required
- Customer Service: 3 years – required
- EMR systems: 1 year – preferred
Work Location: In‑person
Performance Requirements- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
- Basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.
- Skill in operating office equipment.
- Skill in handling paperwork/filing adequately.
- Skill in handling incoming phone calls and triaging appropriately.
- Skill in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to learn and use other computer programs including Microsoft Excel, e‑mail, Internet, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
- Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
