Position: Medical Oncologist opening west of Hartford, CT

Overview

Seeking BE/BC Board Eligible/Board Certified Medical Oncologist to join well-established Cancer Institute
. Located in scenic Northwest Connecticut, this community-focused hospital serves more than 100,000 residents and offers a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced oncologist passionate about multi-disciplinary cancer care and clinical research
. The Cancer Institute is part of a fully integrated health system, coordinating care across seven hospitals and multiple ambulatory sites. Oncologists here benefit from a robust infrastructure, including Disease Management Teams (DMTs) that unite medical, surgical, and radiation oncology specialists with other key cancer professionals to deliver coordinated and standardized care.

As a charter member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance
, the institute provides access to MSK clinical trials—including Phase 1 studies—and facilitates active collaboration with MSK faculty. Clinical innovation, education, and research are deeply embedded in the mission, offering you the opportunity to serve as a principal investigator and actively contribute to groundbreaking cancer care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical oncology care within a multi-disciplinary team framework, coordinating with surgical, radiation oncology, and other cancer specialists.
  • Engage in clinical research activities and contribute to ongoing trials, with opportunities to serve as a principal investigator.
  • Collaborate within Disease Management Teams (DMTs) to deliver coordinated and standardized patient care.
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified Medical Oncologist.
  • Interest in clinical research and collaboration with MSK Alliance trials and faculty.
