Hartford Health Care (HHC), the most comprehensive, integrated health care system in CT, has an outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC Oncologist at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Recently earning an 'A' for safety from Leapfrog, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 109-bed, general acute care community hospital in Torrington, CT, which serves as a regional health care resource for 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest CT.
The Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute is the charter member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance. Through the Alliance we offer MSK clinical trials including phase 1 studies and active collaboration with MSK faculty through the GI DMT, cancer conferences and research activities.
The Cancer Institute coordinates all aspects of cancer care, research and education across our 7 acute care hospitals and associated ambulatory sites of care and one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in New England with more than 1,200 providers. Multi-disciplinary care is led through our Disease Management Teams (DMT) which brings together medical, surgical and radiation oncologists with pathology, nursing, pharmacy and other allied health cancer professionals.
The Hartford Health Care Oncology Service Line and Disease Management Team (DMT) function to standardize care and practices across the integrated delivery system. Quality metrics, clinical research, and innovation through implementation science drive the Cancer Institute mission.
We are seeking a medical oncologist with clinical practice experience in multi-disciplinary cancer care delivery and participation in clinical trials as a principal investigator.
