Teller Torrington

Position Summary:

Responsible for walking the OTB floor, proactively greeting customers, and providing friendly, courteous service at all times. Answer guest questions and build rapport with returning customers. Quickly and accurately handle cash transactions with patrons and jackpots on terminals. Conduct minor maintenance and repairs on terminals when necessary. Protect company assets by adhering to company and departmental policies/procedures, including gaming regulations.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Friendly personality comfortable initiating greetings and conversations.
• Experience using basic tools.
• Proven experience accurately counting, handling, and tracking money.
• Ability to quickly learn pari-mutuel equipment and rules/regulations.
• Basic understanding of and experience with computers and programs.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Professional appearance and personal hygiene as deemed appropriate by supervisor.
• Obtain and maintain all required work cards and gaming licenses.
• Verify right to work in the United States.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screenings.
• Work is performed indoors.
• Availability to work more than 40 hours a week when required; work hours may vary.
• Ability to work long hours under busy conditions.
• Subject to hazards such as smoke, cold, influenza, dust, odors, and noise.
• Tasks may involve walking, standing for long periods, sitting, and crouching.
• Specific movements include trunk-bending, twisting, rotating, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and manipulating objects requiring dexterity.
