PMLD EYFS Assistant

Job Summary

Axcis Education is working with a PMLD school in the South Hams region and is looking for a full-time, permanent EYFS Assistant starting in January. The role requires a Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification. Working hours are 8:30 am – 3:20 pm and pay ranges from £14–£16 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

• Engage and play with young children in Early Years settings.
• Support learning and development through planned and spontaneous activities.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members and follow school policies.
• Provide tailored support to meet the needs of children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

• Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification (essential).
• Experience working in Early Years or with children with PMLD (preferred).
• Proactive, positive attitude.
• Ability to use initiative and contribute effectively to the team.
• Enthusiasm for early years learning and play-based engagement.

• Well-regarded within the local community.
• Highly positive staff feedback.
• Strong focus on teamwork and an inclusive culture.
• Approximately 120 pupils on roll, aged 3–13.
• Commitment to providing outstanding provision and support for all children.
