Insurance Consultant, Insurance Sales

Salary: Starting from £35,000.00 (depending on experience) plus bonus potential

Nature save Insurance, part of Benefact Group, is looking for an Insurance Consultant to join our Totnes office. The role can be remote, but requires monthly travel to Totnes. This opportunity is part of an award‑winning insurance broker with over 30 years of experience providing ethical and sustainable personal and commercial insurance.

As an Insurance Consultant, you will deliver commercial insurance sales income targets through effective sales and relationship management techniques. You will provide expert advice, conduct thorough client review meetings with both existing and new commercial insurance clients to maximise business opportunities and support the overall business strategy.

• Deliver holistic insurance reviews by assessing client needs and recommending suitable related products for both new and existing customers.
• Meet business targets by achieving new business, retention goals, service KPIs and maintaining required workflow standards.
• Maintain strong technical expertise through continuous learning of products, market trends and underwriting guidelines to manage complex cases and referrals.
• Achieve agreed performance objectives by consistently meeting individual KPIs and contributing to team success.
• Underwrite and manage claims effectively by adhering to underwriting authority levels, handling claims promptly and keeping clients fully informed through to settlement.

• Proven experience with the commercial insurance industry.
• Confidence and capability of building rapport over the telephone to provide an excellent client experience.
• Creative and effective in helping to shape the team to focus on service, quality standards and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a regulated, compliant and client‑focused environment.
• Organised, resourceful, deadline‑driven and supportive of the wider team.

• Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance (hold/willing to work towards).
