Overview

Role: Store Manager – Totnes

Hours: Monday – Saturday (9:30am – 5:00pm) (37.5 hours – rota basis)

Salary: Starting at £26,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Totnes, TQ9 5DX

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our Totnes store on Fore Street.

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Totnes branch, ensuring it is presented to the highest standards while driving sales, profitability and outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain exceptional standards throughout the store and window displays to maximise sales and enhance the customer experience
  • Work towards and achieve key performance indicators, including turnover, profitability and staff retention
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately five staff through regular appraisals, coaching and training
  • Manage rotas, timesheets, absence and sickness, and follow company disciplinary procedures where required
  • Recruit, induct and train new team members as needed
  • Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and promote best practice within the team
Qualifications
  • We are looking for a passionate and hands-on manager who is committed to delivering excellent service and driving store performance.
  • Leads by example, motivating the team and creating a positive, professional working environment
  • Drives sales and profitability through strong product knowledge, visual standards and team performance
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, emails, etc.

Previous experience as a supervisor or manager within a retail or commercial environment is essential.
