Job Description
Responsible for identifying and meeting the educational needs of new and existing direct care providers and others in assigned areas, such that personnel working varied shifts are accommodated. The Nursing Unit Educator contributes to the development and implementation of new and revised evidence-based policy, procedure and protocols affecting patient care.
Responsibilities- Identify and meet educational needs of new and existing direct care providers in assigned areas
- Accommodate personnel working varied shifts
- Develop and implement evidence-based policies, procedures, and protocols affecting patient care
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with three to five years of related work experience
- Current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey
- Relevant Nursing Specialty Certification in Nursing Professional Development or similar certification from ANCC or equivalent preferred
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to write training materials appropriate for the healthcare field

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and skills. The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
About The TeamSt. Joseph’s Health opened the Totowa Health Campus, a 140,000-square-foot facility offering outpatient services, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and various specialty centers. The campus houses primary and urgent care, radiology, pharmacy, cardiology, urology, gynecology, Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy, and is planned to include a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
