We are seeking a Inventory Control Clerk to join our team at our Totowa NJ plant!

Shift & Schedule

First Shift: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday)

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against documentation.
  • Ensure all received materials are properly documented, labelled, and stored in designated locations.
  • Perform daily cycle counts on a minimum of 10 inventory items and report discrepancies.
  • Print and apply inventory labels as needed throughout the day.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving inventory variances.
  • Follow company procedures for inventory control and material handling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Responsibility includes accuracy of records kept and records prepared.
  • Use computer systems to store records and generate reports.
  • Cooperate with all departments regarding inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks by hand or by using hand trucks, and forklift trucks, with or without assistance according to load.
  • Report defective materials and unusual or unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
  • Assist in shipping operations as needed to help expedite customer orders.
  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes:
  • Mandatory: steel toe shoes, safety glasses.
  • Optional: gloves, hearing protection.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and ask for help when needed.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Comfortable and efficient in working in a busy open‑floor environment.
  • Capable of working in a team environment as well as individually.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of working in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Forklift experience certification a plus.
  • 1+ years of inventory experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend and twist throughout entire shift.
