Position Overview

An Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school located near the beautiful New Forest in Southampton is seeking a Science Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking department.

This full-time role will begin as soon as possible or from January 2026 and offers a long-term contract with the strong potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

You'll have the opportunity to inspire curiosity and achievement across Key Stages 3 and 4, working alongside an experienced and collaborative team dedicated to delivering engaging and inclusive Science lessons.

• Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, differentiating for a range of abilities.
• Planning and delivering engaging, hands‑on lessons that bring Science to life.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Creating a positive, respectful, and inquisitive classroom environment.
• Contributing to departmental planning, resources, and whole‑school initiatives.

• Mixed 11-16 secondary school rated “Good” by Ofsted.
• Supportive and collaborative Science department.
• Strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
• Conveniently located near the New Forest with excellent transport links to Southampton.
• Committed to professional development and staff growth.

• A qualified Science teacher with UK QTS (or working towards QTS).
• Experience teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for Science and for inspiring young learners.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards and safeguarding.
