Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator | M&E Building Services | Southampton area | £60,000 £ 80,000  Excellent Benefits Package This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a respected and growing M&E Building Services contractor delivering mechanical and electrical projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, leisure, and public and private sector environments. The business undertakes multi-service mechanical building services installations ranging from smaller works around £20k through to major projects in the £6m region.

They have built a strong reputation for technical delivery, repeat business, and maintaining long-term client relationships. Pre-construction and estimating play a central role within the organisation.

The Role As Mechanical Estimator, you will take full responsibility for preparing accurate and competitive mechanical building services tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and project handover. You will price HVAC, pipework, and mechanical services installations, working closely with Directors and Project Managers to ensure tenders are commercially robust and technically sound.

Key Responsibilities Preparing detailed mechanical building services tenders from drawings and specifications Producing accurate take-offs and cost plans Pricing HVAC and mechanical services installations Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors Reviewing technical documentation and identifying value engineering opportunities Supporting smooth handover to project delivery teams About You Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within M&E Building Services Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, and mechanical systems Experience pricing commercial, healthcare, industrial, or education projects Strong understanding of pre-construction and tendering processes Experience using estimating software such as Ensign would be advantageous Remuneration Package Mechanical Estimator £60,000 £ 80,000 Company Car or £5,000 Car Allowance Profit Related Bonus Scheme Workplace Pension 25 days holiday  Bank Holidays This role would suit a Mechanical Estimator seeking a stable, long-term opportunity within a contractor that values quality project delivery and professional estimating standards.
