About the Company
Our client is an established international logistics and freight forwarding business providing a comprehensive range of freight forwarding, air freight, customs, transport, and supply chain services to a diverse customer base.
As an Air Export Operations Co-ordinator, you will manage and coordinate day-to-day air export shipments from booking through to departure, ensuring consignments are processed accurately and efficiently.
You will work closely with customers, airlines, overseas agents, customs authorities, transport providers, and internal departments, taking ownership of shipments and ensuring all relevant operational, customer, customs, and airline requirements are met.

Air Export Operations Coordinator - Requirements
Previous experience within Air Freight Export Operations or Freight Forwarding.
Strong understanding of international air freight procedures and documentation.
Good knowledge of customs export processes.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Customer-focused, proactive, and positive approach.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to workload and changing operational priorities.
Air Export Operations Co-ordinator - Desirable
Knowledge of CDS export entries.
Dangerous Goods awareness or certification.
Experience using freight management systems.
Understanding of aviation security regulations.
Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade compliance.
Experience dealing with special cargo, including temperature-controlled, dangerous goods, high-value, and time-critical shipments.
Previous experience working with international customers, overseas agents, airlines, and transport providers.
Air Export Operations Coordinator - Responsibilities
Coordinate daily air export shipments from booking through to departure.
Arrange bookings with airlines and negotiate rates where applicable.
Prepare and process export documentation, including HAWBs, MAWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, export customs declarations, and Dangerous Goods documentation where required.
Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations, aviation security requirements, airline procedures, and company standards.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively identify and resolve operational issues or delays.
Arrange collections and deliveries with approved transport providers.
Communicate shipment status updates to customers and overseas agents.
Ensure cargo is correctly manifested and customs-cleared prior to departure.
Coordinate special cargo requirements, including temperature-controlled, dangerous goods, high-value, and time-critical shipments.
Respond promptly to customer enquiries and quotation requests.
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure agreed service levels are achieved.
Ensure customs declarations are completed accurately and within required timelines.
Maintain accurate shipment records, operational files, and system updates.
Keep up to date with changes to customs regulations, airline requirements, aviation security procedures, and industry legislation.
Verify supplier invoices and operational costs.
Raise accurate customer invoices within agreed timelines.
Ensure jobs are rated correctly and profitability targets are achieved.
Assist with monthly reporting and KPI monitoring as required.
Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure the efficient movement of export cargo worldwide.
Support colleagues and assist with changing priorities to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
