Priory Hospital Southampton is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team.

Priory Hospital Southampton, Marchwood, Southampton is a residential mental health service providing acute and eating disorder care for adult males and females. It is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop at the end of the access road and Totton railway station approximately 5 miles away, with Redbridge station around 7 miles away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service. Whether you’re assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here. You will work effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting the best interests of clients and their carers while ensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely and effectively.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive care environment, exercising professional accountability and responsibility, and using your nursing skills, knowledge and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments. • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional standards.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement and delivering high-quality care.
• Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care.
