About the Role

Pertemps are looking for an experienced and organised

Transport Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of transport operations.

You will be working closely with the Transport Manager, ensuring transport activities aresafe, compliant, efficient and customer focused. You’ll act as a key link between drivers, management and wider stakeholders, helping to identify issues, improve performance and maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Cluster Transport Manager with the day-to-day management of transport operations.
  • Support driver resourcing and the weekly driver request process.
  • Manage daily driver debriefs, addressing performance, compliance and safety issues.
  • Monitor driver hours, licences and training to ensure legal and company compliance.
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, servicing and MOTs, arranging replacements where required.
  • Maintain accurate transport and administrative systems, including TMS, tachograph, fuel, training and SAPHR systems.
  • Support purchasing, goods receipting, invoice queries and budget monitoring across the cluster.
  • Contribute to SHEQ activities, incident reporting and continuous improvement projects.
  • Deputise for the Cluster Transport Manager when required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in transport, logistics, administration or purchasing, preferably within an industrial environment.
  • Strong communication, influencing and employee relations skills.
  • Experience working with digital systems and data.
  • Knowledge of KPI-based performance management.
  • An understanding of Operator Licence requirements, Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
  • A strong focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

CPC, ADR, IOSH or experience within industrial gases would be advantageous.
