We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wind Tunnel Model Systems Engineer to join The Cadillac Formula 1® Team  this role, you'll be part of a group supporting the development and integration of wind tunnel model systems and technologies.   • Design & Development – Lead the design, integration, and testing of wind tunnel model systems (onboard and off-model), including instrumentation, data acquisition, control systems, and related rigs
  • System Setup & Operation – Oversee the installation, calibration, and operation of model systems and metrology equipment, ensuring class‑leading testing performance
  • Problem Solving & Maintenance – Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical system issues, maintaining high reliability and safety standards
  • Innovation & Process Improvement – Research and implement new technologies, methods, and measurement techniques to enhance aerodynamic testing capabilities
  • Collaboration & Documentation – Work closely with aerodynamic and performance engineers, maintain accurate technical records, and mentor junior team members

What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Proven experience with wind tunnel model systems, sensors, and motor sport testing environments
  • Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical assemblies, instrumentation, and metrology systems
  • Proficiency in fault-finding, problem-solving, and relevant communication protocols (e.g., CAN bus, Ether

    CAT)
  • Experience with programming tools such as LabVIEW, Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, or similar; PCB design skills advantageous
  • Knowledge of motor sport-standard data acquisition systems (e.g., Pi Toolbox, ATLAS) and strong IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and travel as required
