DescriptionWe are currently recruiting an Aero Performance Engineer to guide the aerodynamic analysis and optimisation of our current and future F1 cars. Working closely within the Aero Department, the successful candidate will support in enhancing the ways in which we visualise and interact with our data to enable robust and profound observations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop analysis methods, tools, and models to facilitate rapid and insightful feedback for car set-up optimisation.
- Manage, analyse, and model the mapping of the car in the wind tunnel.
- Enhance the ways we visualise and interact with our data.
- Support general departmental workload as required in peak periods of car development.
- Maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of aero testing & performance analysis.
- Manage own workload effectively, meeting tight deadlines where required.
- Occasional weekend race support may be required on an adhoc basis.
- Possesses a good working knowledge of data analysis and/or machine learning.
- Degree level qualification or equivalent.
- Preferably experience using Python.
- Possess an understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Ideally a good working knowledge of race car performance & engineering.
- Strong self motivation to thrive in a challenging environment.
- Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
- Can communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues.
- Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills.
