Inventory Accountant

Overview

The Cadillac Formula 1® Team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Accountant to support inventory operations and ensure financial accuracy. This role maintains the integrity of inventory records, enforces internal policies, and drives timely month-end close processes. You ll influence cost control, financial reporting, and operational decision-making, directly impacting race-critical inventory and cost cap compliance.

• Perform pre-close checks, post journals, and reconcile inventory with GL accounts
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations, support variance analysis
• Ensure inventory expenses and COGS reporting align with policy

• Conduct physical inventory checks and internal control testing
• Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve costing variances

• Test and validate IFS system controls and maintain overhead absorption rates

• Support inventory forecasting, budgeting, and costing analysis
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to align inventory data with financials
• Build cross-functional relationships and stay current with industry developments
• Identify and implement process improvements

• CIMA / ICAEW / ACCA qualified with PQE experience
• Experience in inventory or cost accounting within manufacturing
• Strong grasp of inventory valuation and financial controls
• ERP system experience (IFS, SAP, Oracle)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication for cross-functional collaboration
