Facilities Manager
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager with a strong background in manufacturing environments, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, plant assets, and site infrastructure. Skilled in planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting operational performance.
Responsibilities- Managing day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of production equipment, plant assets, and site utilities to support manufacturing activities.
- Leading planned and reactive maintenance programmes to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
- Managing maintenance engineers, contractors, and external suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and inline with statutory requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, environmental standards, and planned inspection schedules.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
- Managing maintenance budgets, asset records, and capital improvement projects while ensuring business objectives and production targets are achieved.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in a Facilities Management or Production/Manufacturing environment (manufacturing experience preferred).
- IOSH qualification.
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and engineering activities.
- Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and asset management.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
