The Cadillac Formula 1® Team is poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming seasons of the FIA Formula 1® World Championship. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are assembling a team of exceptional talent to fulfill our ambitious vision. As part of this endeavor, we are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our esteemed team based in Silverstone.

As a CNC Machinist specializing in Turning, you will play a pivotal role in the production of precision components essential for our high‑performance racing cars. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success and competitiveness of the Cadillac Formula 1® Team.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high‑precision metallic components in compliance with exacting specifications
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks on finished components to ensure adherence to defined standards
  • Collaborate effectively with design engineers and fellow machinists to improve manufacturing processes and optimize production techniques
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of all machining activities performed
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist focused on Turning operations, preferably within a motor sport or precision engineering setting
  • Strong background in CNC turning processes, tooling selection, and machine maintenance
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ability to utilize measurement tools and equipment for quality assurance processes
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration
  • Familiarity with advanced CNC controls and programming languages
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, Hyper Mill would be an advantage
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards in the workplace
  • Capability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements
