Overview
The Cadillac Formula 1® Team, backed by TWG Global and GM, is building everything from the ground up – a high‑performance car, an inclusive culture, and bold ambition to disrupt Formula 1®. Based in Silverstone, we are looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our engine‑and‑sky team.
The position is a weekend shift: 3 days × 12 hours, Friday‑Sunday, 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. The closing date is Friday 1st May 2026.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high‑precision metallic components in compliance with exacting specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks on finished components to ensure adherence to defined standards.
- Collaborate effectively with design engineers and fellow machinists to improve manufacturing processes and optimise production techniques.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of all machining activities performed.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist focused on Turning operations, preferably within motor sport or precision engineering.
- Strong background in CNC turning processes, tooling selection, and machine maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to utilise measurement tools and equipment for quality assurance processes.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
- Familiarity with advanced CNC controls and programming languages.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software;
Hyper Mill would be an advantage. - Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards in the workplace.
- Capability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements.
