EMC Test Technician

The Role

Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our long-established clients based in Silverstone for an EMC Test Technician. • Carrying out EMC testing on customer equipment under the guidance of qualified engineers.
• Setting up, monitoring and dismantling EMC test systems.
• Installing, commissioning and maintaining specialist test equipment.
• Recording accurate test and calibration results in accordance with company procedures.
• Assisting with laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
• Performing routine health and safety checks on electrical equipment.
• Reporting equipment faults and ensuring testing is completed within agreed timescales.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with UKAS quality standards.

• An Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• At least one year's industrial training or experience in a related electronics field is desirable, although newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.
• Soldering skills for electrical and electronic components. Experience with SMT and discrete components is advantageous.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate technical reports.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Starting salary of £26,000 per annum.
• Salary increase to £28,000 per annum after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.
