Lab Technician
£35,000 Starting Salary | Full Training Provided | Permanent 4 on / 4 off Continental Shift Pattern
We're looking for several Lab Technicians to join a leading advanced manufacturing business that is continuing to grow following substantial international investment and a major expansion of its UK operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a modern, high-tech manufacturing environment. No laboratory experience is required as full training will be provided from day one.
If you have experience within manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse operations, engineering, clean rooms or any other detail-focused environment, we'd be keen to hear from you.
Please Read Before ApplyingTo ensure this opportunity is the right fit, you should be comfortable with the following:
- Permanent 4 on / 4 off continental shift pattern
- Two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts
- Four days off after every shift cycle
- Working in a cleanroom whilst wearing full PPE
- Site located in a rural area, therefore your own transport is essential
- A willingness to learn and work within a highly structured environment
Please note:
Due to the shift pattern and rural location of the site, this opportunity is best suited to candidates who live within approximately a one-hour commute.
4 on / 4 off Continental Rotation
- 7:00am - 7:00pm (2 Day Shifts)
- 7:00pm - 7:00am (2 Night Shifts)
- 4 Consecutive Days Off
You'll become part of a specialist manufacturing team producing high-precision components used within cutting-edge technologies.
The role combines practical manufacturing duties with quality inspection, operating specialist equipment and recording production information. Working in a controlled cleanroom environment, you'll receive full training on all processes and equipment, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term technical career.
Key Duties- Manufacture precision products within a cleanroom environment
- Operate specialist production equipment
- Complete detailed visual inspections using microscopes and inspection tools
- Record production data accurately using internal computer systems
- Follow detailed manufacturing procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production and quality targets
We're looking for people who can demonstrate:
- Excellent attention to detail
- A dependable and positive approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer literacy
- A willingness to learn new skills and processes
- The ability to work whilst wearing full cleanroom PPE
Previous experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, laboratories, clean rooms or other technical environments would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
