The Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector is responsible for performing inspection methods to evaluate and ensure the integrity of materials and components. The role involves inspecting parts and assemblies through various stages of manufacture and service using various NDT methods and techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current (ET), magnetic particle testing (MPI), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPI). You will play a key role in identifying defects ensuring compliance with design standards while supporting quality control processes.
Your expertise will ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall excellence of our operations. This vital role requires critical thinking and an eye for detail.
- Conduct non-destructive testing to various materials and components
- Evaluate test results and prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting any defects or irregularities
- Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications and procedures
- Collaborate with design, engineering and production teams to maintain product integrity and resolve any quality-related issues
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Verify the calibration of NDT equipment, ensuring compliance with internal quality procedures
- Carry out equipment performance and control checks and assist in developing and improving NDT procedures and inspection criteria
- Participate in training and mentoring of junior inspectors in NDT processes and best practices
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and corrective actions taken
