Founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, Westminster Christian Academy provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 970 students in grades 7 through 12. The school is located in suburban St. Louis County, Missouri, on a 70-acre campus, 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

The Westminster Faculty Fellows program is designed to give recent college graduates an opportunity to experience what it’s like to have a career in Christian education. Throughout the school year, the faculty fellows will work with mentor teachers to develop lesson plans and teach classes. In addition to this, fellows will take professional development courses through our Center for Teaching and Learning, coach sports, or sponsor extracurricular activities.

Teaching Experience

Each fellow will be placed with a mentor teacher for the duration of the school year. Much like student teaching, fellows will slowly accumulate more responsibilities and eventually take over teaching one to two sections of a class.

Outside the Classroom

Each fellow will help coach a sport each season or sponsor an extracurricular activity, like one of our many clubs.

Pay & Housing

Salary is $32,500 per year

Fellows will receive a $10,000 housing allowance for the 10 months of the school year
