Property Management
The primary role of the Property Manager is to provide quality service to our residents and our communities, along with effectively market and monitor the physical apartment community, its residents and meet the financial objectives of the Property Management division, as well as maintain all applicable outside agency standards and requirements.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years in an affordable property management capacity, including understanding of Project-based Section 8 and/or Rural Development 515, LIHTC, HOME funding, EIV etc., and/or related experience. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law. Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills. Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Able to maintain confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, staff, and external vendors and stakeholders. Create a safe, supportive environment for all residents and visitors, along with maintaining excellent customer service skills. Proven resident retention experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with software systems. Knowledge of Boston Post software preferred. Encourage a positive work environment that is inclusive and supportive of change.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent; some college beneficial but not required. Certifications or Licensures:
Valid Massachusetts Driver's License, insured vehicle, and the ability to travel to other properties, respond to on-call emergencies, training participation, etc. Must have successfully earned the Assisted Multifamily Housing Manager (AHM) designation.
