Position Overview
Under direct supervision, verifies and processes timesheets for payment on a computerized system in a timely and accurate manner. Works with appropriate GBMC Healthcare, Inc. personnel in researching inquiries and resolving problems.

Skills- Knowledge of wage and tax regulations for state and federal governments
- Skill in oral and written communication with an emphasis on customer service
- Skill in data entry and data analysis
- Skill in basic computers and personal productivity applications
- Able to perform noncomplex arithmetic calculations.
- Processes payroll for hospital employees on a bi‑weekly basis by entering data into a computerized system. Ensures accuracy of payroll information per pay policies.
- Reviews and verifies employee timecards for completeness and accuracy. Calculates hours worked for payment of shift differential, overtime, call pay and the like.
- Performs the payroll auditing process by ensuring that payments are reviewed thoroughly, that codes and account classification are applied appropriately and accurately, and that payments are made in the correct amount.
- Proofs and edits payroll reports.
- Researches more complex payroll issues.
- Resolves payroll related matters by maintaining regular contact with various Hospital personnel.
- Maintains appropriate record retention and filing systems.
- Orients and trains assigned personnel who assist in payroll processing.
- Processes and issues special checks as requested, by obtaining necessary supporting documentation, charging appropriate account(s) and updates various accounting records and controls.

$21.27 - $36.00
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
