Occupational Therapist II (Full Time, Towson, Day Shift, Adolescent Neuropsych Unit)

Responsibilities- Perform a full range of occupational therapy services according to professional standards.
- Screen patients/students, provide functional assessments, develop goals and modalities for treatment plans, and deliver direct services for individuals and groups for the assigned caseload.
- Communicate with patients/students based on an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Document and report patient/student progress to the treatment/educational team.
- Participate in program evaluation.
- Utilize experience in program development for specialized patient populations and represent the professional discipline on assigned committees.
- Assist in training, orienting, and evaluating the performance of occupational therapy interns and volunteers.
- May provide orientation and professional direction to newly hired Occupational Therapists.
- Work some evening and weekend shifts as needed.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Current license to practice as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter.
- Maintain professional knowledge and skills through participation in professional meetings, workshops, courses, and in-service sessions.
- Two to three years of progressively more responsible work experience to meet treatment program needs across varying populations; experience as a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant may be considered.
- Inpatient positions may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays to facilitate programming.
- An extended clinical orientation led by the Clinical Education Department.
