Data and Enterprise Reporting Administrator EPIC

Under general supervision of Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager, evaluates, designs and maintains existing or proposed systems to structure, access, and maintain relational and multi-dimensional databases and related extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, including the Epic Data Warehouse and Epic Clarity databases and ETLs, designs and maintains SAP BI Business Objects universes, develops SAP Business Objects Crystal reports including Epic Clarity reports and administers the SAP BI platform.

Experienced in the areas of Business Intelligence development and implementations, including Data Warehousing and Integration Services, and report development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or a discipline stressing analytical skills, with courses in data management.

• Certified Data Management professional (CDMP) preferred. Epic certification in Clarity ETL/DBA, Caboodle, and in one Cogito Clarity Business Intelligence Developer track within set timeframe after date of training established with the reporting manager

• 3 - 5 years of experience in a medium complex data warehouse environment, hands‑on data warehousing project experience and experience in full life cycle Business Intelligence development, implementation, tuning and support, preferably in an Epic and/or SAP BI environment.

• Hands on experience in relational and multi-dimensional data modeling, including multiple source systems from databases and flat files.
• Hands on ETL development experience, preferably using SSIS and/or including Epic Clarity ETL experience.
• SQL Server experience required.
• SAP Business Objects BI suite experience preferred.
• Epic Clarity ETL and Epic Data Warehouse (Caboodle) experience/certification preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements, preferably in a health care.
• Sound understanding of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, SQL skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques, preferably including SAP Business Objects BI tools.
• Ability to collaborate on a team with Epic Analysts and Technicians, IT Infrastructure resources, and Subject Matter Experts, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical team members, including clinical staff.
• Ability to learn, and develop reports using, SQL, SAP Crystal, SAP BI Web Intelligence, Epic Report Workbench reports and similar tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve errors that occur during various ETL processes, including Epic Clarity and Caboodle.
• Administer the SAP BI Business Objects platform including report scheduling and distribution, and user setup and security.
• Administer Microsoft SQL and Epic Clarity databases including backups, and performance.
• Responsible for evaluating, coordinating testing with SMEs, and implementing new releases and upgrades affecting Epic Clarity, Caboodle and SAP BI Business Objects databases and processes.

• Employee has knowledge and understanding of patient and workforce safety as it relates to job duties.

• Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and applies the knowledge to meet age‑specific needs if applicable.

• Sets up and maintains the Clarity and Caboodle ETL processes including troubleshooting errors.
• Administers the Clarity and Caboodle databases insuring required information is available to business intelligence developers.
• Sets up and maintains Epic Caboodle and third party ETLs, including Microsoft SSIS.
• Administers the Microsoft SQL databases pertaining to the Data Warehouse and SAP BI platform.
• Develops and maintains SAP BI Business Object universes including on Epic Caboodle.
• Develops and maintains Web Intelligence and Crystal reports including Epic Caboodle and Clarity model‑based reports.
• Develops and assists in the development of Epic Reporting Workbench reports and Radar dashboards.
