Arcade/Bowling Mechanic Supervisor role at Round One Entertainment Inc.

Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $20.75/hr

Full‑time Bowling/Arcade Mechanical Supervisor, Towson, MD – Towson Town Center.

Essential Duties
  • Assign tasks to team based on the facility’s condition, including Bowling, Arcade, and Spo‑Cha machines.
  • Follow up to complete any assigned work.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in servicing and maintaining the facility, bowling/Spo‑Cha equipment, and amusement arcade games.
  • Direct and supervise department mechanics.
  • Respond to customer complaints of machine malfunction, analyzing the mechanism to find the root of the problem.
  • Respond to error calls for any bowling, spo‑Cha, or amusement arcade issue.
  • Maintain support and communication programs designed to promote products or services for the Bowling and Amusement Departments.
  • Ensure equipment operational compliance with appropriate laws and policies, including OSHA safety practices and procedures.
  • Train other mechanics in safety procedures and standards of operation for all equipment, building maintenance, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Stay informed on company policies and procedures as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Conduct inventory on all facility equipment, including Bowling, Amusement, and Spo‑Cha related items.
  • Ensure mechanics follow all company procedures and policies on Facility maintenance.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
Bowling
  • Update the R1/manufacturer’s preventative maintenance charts for bowling center equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on bowling lanes, pinsetters, oiling machines, and other bowling‑related equipment.
  • Complete required mechanic training programs for the assigned center.
Amusement (Arcade)
  • Assist Facilities Manager with installation, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical and electronic issues in arcade machines.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on arcade machines and other general facility areas.
  • Complete required mechanic training programs for the position.
Spo‑Cha (For locations that apply only)
  • Update the R1/manufacturer’s preventative maintenance charts for Spo‑Cha equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on Spo‑Cha equipment and Spo‑Cha arcade machines.
  • Assist Facilities Manager with installation, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical and electronic issues in Spo‑Cha arcade machines.
  • Complete required mechanic training programs for the position.
Facility
  • Perform other facility maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Identify common problems with components such as controls and audio systems.
Non‑Essential Duties
  • Conduct alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain high ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Report all irregular issues and problems to general management for resolution.
  • Maintain good communication with all employees and external contacts.
  • Comply with confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area.
Qualifications

Technical Facilities Supervisor must possess a strong sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, high integrity, and respect for everyone. The supervisor must demonstrate solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation for diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).

Education And/or Experience

Two‑year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

The job is performed in a bowling center/arcade environment with high levels of noise, dust, and activity. The noise level is usually loud.

Physical Demands

Requires bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, and high mobility in small spaces. Must stand and walk for extended periods without breaks during busy times. Requires use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, and reach. Lifting or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.
